SimonDelivers

One of my favorite things to do is to grocery shop. Joel and I often throw large dinner parties and I love everything from planning the guest list to running to 7 or 8 stores to hand select each of my ingredients. Yes, I said 7 or 8. But lately, our life has become so busy with running Nubrek that I have had to drop some tasks in order to pick up others. One of those things has been grocery shopping.

Lately I have come to depend on Simon to deliver my groceries. Is he more expensive? Yes. But it is cheaper than not going grocery shopping and picking prepared food up on the way home. My system of late is to plan our meals for the next week on Thursday and place a large order that night. Friday evening my food comes and I never have to think about it again.

There are a few perils with this system. Last Friday we had friends over for dinner and after a few fairly sleepless nights (again, I refer you to our company), were dead tired at midnight when our guests left. We dropped into bed and Joel was out in minutes. Just before I nodded off to sleep, I realized Simon had delivered our groceries to our garage that night. As their food only keeps about 6 hours in containers, I knew I was going to have to haul the food inside right then. I jumped out of bed and Joel (still in a daze) didn’t want me to do it by myself. So at 12:30a we both stumbled out to our garage to unload our groceries, in pjs and all.

If you decide to try Simon, go to www.simondelivers.com and tell them I sent you! Shameless plug, I know.
